This Christmas song was composed and performed by one of my favorite country artists.  You’d have to be a fan of Robert Earl Keen to understand the snarkiness.  In any event it was first recorded for Keen's 1994 album - Gringo Honeymoon.  It’s a tongue-in-cheek poke at the Christmas holiday from a native Texan.
