Fresh tire tracks on a part of the trail that is rather secluded.
This is an on-again, off-again problem. Someone can drive-in on the gravel town road up at the north property line.
They can shine or shoot something from the comfort of their truck.
They would be a half mile from the nearest house.
What should I do?
What would you do?

How about setting up the trail cam!? Although, they'd probably help themselves to that, too.
ReplyDeleteThought of both of those possibilities.
ReplyDeleteIt might be worth risking he loss of a $100 camera.
Put out those nail strips that cops use to stop fleeing vehicles.
ReplyDeleteYOu can set up more obstacles along the border, but military doctrine demands that an effective obstacle is one that is under observation by friendly forces. So camoflaging your trail cam where the enemy enters the property is a good course of action.
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor offered me spring tooth chisel plow to leave up-ended in the tall grass of the ditch.
ReplyDeleteHe was half-serious. I think.
The plow and the nails pose liability hazards. So I think the trail camera is the best option.
It date and time stamps everything and uses infrared for night shots (no visible flash).
Evidence for the sheriff.
