Two Rainbows In Two Weeks

Alerted by multiple cell phone audible alerts a fast-moving July storm moved thru quickly this evening at the start of our Lions Club meeting.

And after all the ruckus was over on my way home I was greeted with this.

A doubler. 

When you live in Flyover Country the panoramic views are far better than in an urban setting.  Two rainbows in two weeks.

Ma Nature smiled on the landscape with her all-clear sign….

Thunder Month

July is known for its storms.

Beautiful Skies

Gentle spring storms moved thru late afternoon treating us to a colorful sky display.

And directly behind me the view to the northwest...

Ma Nature knocked one outta the part tonight.

Sign of Good Luck?

A modicum of much-needed rain fell this afternoon before 6 PM.

Not enough to wash-out the Belgian Days celebration at Brussels Town Park; but just enough to deliver this ephemeral visage.

There is plenty of science about how rainbows bend light by means of refraction; some say the rainbows are auspicious and a sign of good luck.

Bonus Sunset

After the rains stopped for a spell everything was getting very, very red so I went outside to snap a few photos of the west, northwest

Turning-around there was a rainbow in the southeast.

Pot O'Gold

Rainbow late today ended directly across the road.

First thing tomorrow I am going to cross the road and fetch the Leprechaun's Pot of Gold from where the rainbow ended and solidify my financial situation.

That is - unless - my neighbor across the road beats me to it...

An Auspicious Sign

An ancient holy man once said that when a rainbow materializes over your septic mound it is an auspicious sign.

Sign of what I haven't a clue.

Good Luck Sign

Just received a half-inch of welcome rain.  That's the entire sum of rain for last month.  As evidence of our good fortune this was left in it's wake.  A complete rainbow.
