Destination Door County

The title of this post is the motto and catch-phrase for the peninsula's tourism org.  If you think New Jersey had problems last year; they’re back.  

It has been a year and a half since their last visit but I have irrefutable evidence of their return. 

Yup - those pesky extraterrestrial beings from the fringes of our galaxy that periodically pay a call to the peninsula to vex me. 

One of the patient and stealthy trail cameras recorded the return of their spacecraft as it landed nearby.  Curiously, the visitation is right on time.  I looked back at my records and captured photographic evidence plenty of times during the month of July.   

Maybe it is winter back on their home planet.  Why not; everyone else seems to vacation here…..

 

What To See In The December Night Sky - in New Jersey

Law enforcement officials say hundreds of mysterious drone sightings have been reported in New Jersey since mid-November sparking speculation and concern over who or what is behind them.  Some high-level officials, including Rob D'Amico, former chief of the FBI Counter Drone Unit, believe the number of drones flying in New Jersey airspace is likely over reported.

Congressman Van Drew (R-NJ) has stated he has if on reliable authority that the drone sightings have originated from an Iranian Mothership off the coast.  Kook.

Aliens

When I fetched the SD cards and uploaded the photos I was struck by this.

At first blush I thought someone had strung some Christmas lights in the woods.  Alas, that is not the case.  

Just about the time I figured they had departed for the season this is more evidence of the my ongoing alien invasion.  

As you can see from the photo there is the blinding glare of the thruster of their space ship and the alien commander firing a volley of deadly space balls.

Sheesh.....

They're Back!

It has been a bit longer than normal since the aliens from outer space have returned to torment me.  I was actually beginning to think that they had left for good. Alas, they're not chilling on their home planet.  They're back.

One the ever vigilant trail camera captured evidence of their recent visitation in the photos that follow.

As the propulsion system powers-up and fires you can see the photons hurtling from the thrusters.  With that it is gone in the blink of an eye!

If this keeps-up it's going to be a long summer.  My visitors from outer space have allied themselves with the local coyotes....

The Aliens Strike Back!

Near the end of last month I published evidence of the possible return of extraterrestrial lifeforms around these parts.

I think the aliens read this blog.  

How is it I suspect this?  

Both their visitations and the level of their belligerence has increased.  

Trail camera captured the blinding flash of the the alien space ship's thrusters as the commander of the space craft fired space balls at the camera.

The camera survived unscathed.  

Poor marksmen the aliens are.....

They Have Returned

If you've been reading the news lately there has been a significant amount of chatter about unidentified flying objects or UFOs.  It doesn't mean that we're being visited by extraterrestrial beings or aliens - but you never know.  Here at The Platz there has been periodic evidence of aliens and UFOs over the years.  Nothing that I've personally witness - but evidence captured by my trail cameras.

I have evidence that the aliens are back.

They've returned for their first visitation of 2021.

That's because the ever-vigilant camera captured their coming or going.  Including this action shot of them firing their maneuvering thrusters on their spacecraft.

Creepy stuff..... 

Space Balls

Sometimes I think the aliens read this blog.  How is it I suspect this?  Both their visitations and the level of their belligerence has increased.        

Recently one of the trail cameras captured the blinding flash of the the alien space ship's thrusters.  The colored balls of light are space balls fired from their isokenetic cannon.    

Camera survived unscathed.  Poor marksmen the aliens are.......

Predictable Extraterrestrials

New Arrivals

If you are reading this post you already know that I've been periodically noting the return of our seasonal visitors - namely migratory birds.

Another visitor has returned.

For all of their advanced technology and appetite for spreading death and destruction - they missed destroying the camera.

Aliens Freak Out the Resident Whitetails

If you read yesterday's blog posting you would already know that there is irrefutable evidence of the return of the aliens.  These aren't the aliens the president continually rails over as these are aliens from outer space - another planet in a universe far, far away.  No wall is going to keep these aliens out as they can simply plunk their spaceship right down on the other side of any wall they want.  Most walls fail anyway Hadrian's Wall, the Berlin Wall, the Great Wall of China - you name it.  But I digress.  Check this out...

A couple of button bucks that showed-up immediately following the departure of the alien space ship.  They are totally freaked out.

The visitors from elsewhere have even got the local critters spooked too....

Return of the Alien Life Forms

The alien craft begins to power-up its propulsion system and gradually tilts 45 degrees to the right as it prepares to lift-off...

As the propulsion system fires you can see the photons firing from the back of the ship and with that it is gone in the blink of an eye!

If this keeps-up it's going to be a long summer...

Close Encounter?

I was out with the Labs last weekend to run the trail camera trap line and replace SD cards and check on batteries.  I went to fetch the camera furthest from the house and... IT WAS GONE!  

I thought to myself - Fine,  After all of these years some trespassing jerk swiped one of your cameras  You've been ripped-off.   A five year-old, $100 trail camera - if that's his haul he needs it worse than you.

Walking out to the main trail something caught my eye - something that didn't belong.  There it was - the camera.

Hanging from a tree tube not 50 feet from the tree it had been strapped-to.

The face plate was wide open, the belt clipped-shut, the batteries dead and the SD card still there.  Strange.  Why someone would mess with the camera like this and not take it with them?  Did the perp have a short case of thievery remorse?

Swapping-out the batteries and replacing the SD card I relocated the cam to an alternate location.  Back at home I uploaded the pictures and found the first...

And the last picture taken...

Nothing including any people or the actual moving of the camera.  My best guess is the aliens are back and they're messing with me again.

The Undead

One thing that is not dead for sure are those dang aliens.

Aliens

Just about the time I figured they had left for the season there is evidence of a return of the alien invasion.

As you can see from this photograph an alien transport is approaching.  There is the glare of the thrusters and the alien commander is firing the deadly space balls.

I wonder if I left a note for them they might take some of the deer back to their home planet? 

Aliens Come to Deer Camp

The frenzy of a long weekend with eight other guys has passed.  Seven deer found their way to the camp meat pole - three bucks (an eight, nine and ten pointer) and four does.  Yesterday we processed six of the deer and dropped one of the big does-off at Marchant's Foods for the local food pantry.  Today I went back to town and dropped sixty pounds of venison trimmings at the butcher for grinding and packaging.  Whew!

This afternoon I hunted by myself and upon climbing into my stand was surprised to find a collection of nine fist-sized rocks carefully arranged in the corner of the floor.

This is completely strange as none of the guys hunting here had any time for rock collecting.  Or carrying them around with them and then climbing into a stand to place them there.

The only explanation is that the aliens are sending me a cryptic message.

Perhaps they want nine pounds of ground venison conveniently packaged in one pound packs and frozen for intergalactic travel?
