Had the furnace checked by the local contractor before the major heating season.
Also had the AC checked while they were here.
We haven't used the AC for quite awhile but the technician pointed-out that since we last used it we have had a major melt-down.
Damn critters nibbling on the wires...

Ugh! I feel your pain. Our warm welcome to country living was having a huge nest of mice in the AC unit. We kicked them out, put a few moth balls in there, which did the trick, but then they moved into my car! Now I have a shallow bowl of moth balls underneath my car outside! Sheesh!
