Abandoned Home


More work on the woods.

Corrective pruning of oaks and walnut and spraying of gypsy moth egg masses.

Countless bird nests to be found from last year.

Funny. You can hardly locate these during the nesting season - but they're all over the dang place after all the leaves have fallen.

  1. This is such a great time of year...the migration and the new beginnings for many birds, as well as other animals.
    I'm already enjoying it as I hear and see some of my favorite birds, like the Sandhill Cranes, return to the area.

  2. I heard some cranes squawking last weekend too.

    Never saw them but I sure heard them.

    Now that the weather isn't so brutally cold the gold finches are back too.

    I've got the spring fever really bad...
