Talk'n Turkey

Up early and padded into the kitchen to turn-on the coffee.

Across the road in the plowed field to the south was a flock of at least forty turkeys.

Gasp!

There they were - strutting their stuff for the ladies in the morning sunshine. A target-rich environment for this old turkey hunter.

Why is it never like this during hunting season?

  1. I assume the Spring turkey hunting season opens soon. I just passed through Boscobel, WI and they claim to be the turkey hunting capital of WI. I wonder who decides if that is accurate? Good hunting to you!

  2. Boscobel is naive.

The best turkey hunting around can be found in southern Door County.

    And it starts next month!
