Solve the Riddle

I'm surprised that nobody's been able to crack the Double Bubble Riddle.

    Like I said before, I'm stumped! I even looked up all the info. on the Dubble Bubble Company, etc. Even learned about the original mascots, Dub & Bub, and the newer mascot named Pud.
    Unless there's a gun out there with the dubble bubble nickname, with which you shot that critter, I don't get it!
