New moon tonight, people.
When the moon is traveling between the earth and the sun, sunlight cannot illuminate the moon and, Viola, it become hidden from view. Consequently dark skies are on tap for this evening.
Beginning tomorrow a young sliver of crescent moon will be visible in the western night sky.
Fingers-crossed for great star-gazing this evening...
