Deer Damage

Friday evening I was at the usual watering hole for an adult beverage and fish fry and had an opportunity to engage in a longer chat than usual with my neighbors to the east.  

Aside from old cars the conversation eventually turned to deer hunting.  Neighbor's grandson volunteered that he spied a couple dozen deer on our south forty recently.  He remarked to this effect - It looked to me that all the deer in the area had decided to gather at your place.

I guess I'm not surprised as all of the cedars have been browsed extensively and for the first time the cedars planted in the yard for landscaping purposes have been stripped-bare.

Too many deer around these parts.
