Friday Music

Written while on a trip to South Africa and completed after returning to New York it was first performed live on Saturday Night Live on May 10, 1986.  Paul Simon completed the album Graceland with the artists he brought back from South Africa.  The song features guest vocals from the South African male choral group Ladysmith Black Mambazo.  Diamonds on the Soles of Her Shoes….
