Just last week, SpaceX received federal approval to dramatically
increase the size of its Starlink constellation, clearing the way for
the launch of an additional 7,500 satellites into low-Earth orbit.

hardly bats an eye today, as mega-constellations like Starlink have
become an increasingly familiar component of modern infrastructure.
Pardon me; is there a space race going on?
If so, it isn't even a contest.
