March Night Sky

Before you go to bed tonight take a moment to cast your gaze to the east.  Look for the waning gibbous moon and the bright star Spica in the constellation Virgo.  Both of these rise late, so if your not a night owl you can rise early in the morning and catch both before sunrise.

in my the northern latitude Arcturus rises first, before the moon and Spica.
