    By temple, do you mean the GOP or our fair democracy? I feel fairly confident that the latter is strong enough to survive Mr. Trump. The GOP on the other hand, gets to take another stab at soul searching. Hopefully this time it will be more than just a superficial process.

    Personally, I think the GOP could use a culling, starting with those that traded in their moral standing for party unity. You can move on to the Tea Party boneheads from there.

    I share your view that the country has survived worse.

    Trump is a historic mistake for the party.

    God Bless the handful of individuals that kept their personal and moral reputations intact.
