One of the few British groups from the early 1960s - the
Hollies, the Who and the Rolling Stones - never disbanded and continue to
perform. The 1967 debut album for Epic
records in the US – Evolution – did
not include three of the songs from the British release but did add Carrie Anne. A year later band member Graham Nash left the
group and with former Buffalo Springfield guitarist Stephen Stills and ex-Byrds
singer-guitarist David Crosby formed Crosby, Stills and Nash (and occasionally
Canadian Neil Young). Little known trivia – Elton John periodically
played the piano for the Hollies.
