Friday Music

Bassist and vocalist Timothy B. Schmit is associated with both Poco (one of the Top 10 groups on my personal list) and the Eagles.  His coincidental association with these groups was a consequence of the departure of Randy Meisner in both instances.

He also has an extensive history as a solo artist and session musician and has performed as a backing vocalist for Steely Dan, JD Souther, Aja, Jimmy Buffet and the Coral Reefer Band, Firefall, Bob Seger, Dan Fogelberg, Toto, Clint Black, Don Henley, Richard Marx, Boz Scaggs, Crosby Stills and Nash and Ringo Starr’s All Starr Band.  Talented guy Timmy is.   Which would explain why he’s been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (as a member of the Eagles).

This is a nice cover of Keep on Tryin' – Poco’s 1975 hit.
