The ninth and final track on their 1979 album Discovery – and peaking at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 it also happens to be their highest-charting hit in the United States to date.
A common misinterpretation of the song song is the perception that, following the title line, Jeff Lynne shouts Bruce! Lynne later explained that he is singing a made-up word, Grooss – a place-keeper to fill a gap in the lyrics. Some have suggested sounds like the German expression Gruß, and upon learning the German meaning Lynne decided to leave it in.
