Autumn Is Knocking On The Door

The other day we rose to a sunny, blue-sky, 62F morning.  Perfect weather to walk the dog.

There's a lot of native flowers putting on a show and keeping the pollinators occupied.  Bumble bees everywhere and in short order lost count of the number of Monarch butterflies teasing me for a photo opportunity.

I had to settle for flowers...

Sneeze Weed (Helenium autumnale)

Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana)

Great Blue Lobelia (Lobelia siphilitica)

New England aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae)

Mountain mint (Pycnanthemum) on the left and Canada Goldenrod (Solidago canadensis)
