Half day of day job and a half day of field hand. Nice balance.
The garden is winding-down and after today is a lot closer to being put to bed for the winter. I picked the last of the green beans (interesting post script that I'll share about later), picked a few more semi-ripe tomatoes and ripped the rest of them out for the composter. What a downright disappointing year for tomatoes. Sigh. And I excavated the onions and spuds. They look perfectly fine and the harvest was robust.
Sure, I know it's only September but I'm sitting my weary bones on the porch with my thieving Labs enjoying a frosty Oktoberfest.
Cheers!
