One of my fondest childhood summer memories is pulling a
carrot from the garden, cleaning it at the hose bib and chomping it down.
With a cold and wet growing season fraught
with all manner of gardening peril the carrots came-in quite nicely.
Scratched the itch and after hosing the
dirt-off chomped it down. The girls got
one too - it is Labrador Weekend after all...
