The Garden Chronicles

Slowly putting the garden to bed for the winter.  

 


Picked the last of the sweet peppers and pulled the plants for the composter.  









Remarkably the the largest of the pepper plants were still blooming.  Amazing how well they did this year.

Rototilled the soil to turn-under the weeds.  All that's left are the remaining Bibb lettuces and a row of carrots.  I'd like to leave the carrots until the frost sets-in as they'll be sweeter as a result.




Incidentally, here is my vast pumpkin harvest....


Will be interesting if I get a decent collection of seeds out of these gourds for roasting.
