This is from John Prine's thirteenth studio album featuring duets with various well-known female folk and alternate country artists. It was released in 1999.
The album was Prine's first release since successfully battling throat cancer. The female duet partners included Iris DeMent, Connie Smith, Lucinda Williams, Emmylou Harris, Patty Loveless, Trisha Yearwood, Dolores Keane, Melba Montgomery and his wife, Fiona Prine.
In discouraging times like these sometimes you cannot get enough John Prine.
