What's in the March Night Sky?

After dusk today grab a pair of binoculars and train your eyes to the west.  Locate the waxing crescent moon above the western horizon and locate slightly above you will be able to observe planet Uranus.

Depending-upon conditions you may be capable of seeing it with the naked eye yet the optics should allow for decent viewing from sunset to 9 PM our time here in NE Wisconsin.  The placement of Uranus with the crescent moon will guide you to its location.

Apps such Night Sky or SkyView® are also terrific aids to navigation.  Same for this map...
