This band hails from Leeds, England and was formed in 1997 as Runston Parva before morphing to Parva in 2000 and renaming themselves in the current name that same year.
Their inspiration is new wave indie rock and punk that is reminiscent of the late 1970s and 1980s. Think: Very High Energy. They've released seven studio albums over the years and multiple singles including this number one hit.
According to the interweb during an appearance on the Late Show, David Letterman spoke with Drummer Nick Hodgson about purchasing his drum set. Following a brief negotiation an undisclosed price was struck. At the close of a show at Chicago's House of Blues (April 2012) Hodgson announced this was the final show for his drum kit; which was sent to David Letterman.
