Wassup In The October Night Sky

If your situation is like mine and you happen to be rising early in the morning the next couple of days the thin, waning, crescent moon will be viewable just above the eastern horizon before sunrise.

Venus and the bright star Regulus will be higher in the sky.  On Wednesday and Thursday the unlit portion of the will reflect the glow of earthshine or reflected light from planet earth.
