Friday Morning Russians

Chicago is an American rock band formed in 1967 in Chicago, Illinois.  They've recorded 36 albums and sold more than 100,000,000 records.  May pal Braumeister is a fan of this iconic band and turned me on to this group late last  year.  They are worthy of Friday Music fame.

A Russian and Ukrainian group - Leonid and Friends - covers classic American groups such as Chicago and Earth, Wind and Fire so perfectly that it's worth sharing.  Leonid Vorobyev’s goal was a studio project dedicated to the popular 70s American group Chicago under the motto - Musicians for Musicians.

Their first video went viral and then things really exploded when the original group itself published the video Leonid and Friends on its official website.  Yup - Russians doing Chicago now as good as the original Chicago.

In March 2017, the album Chicagovich was released, followed by tens of thousands of reposts, likes and comments.  As American music critic Phil Treinor said - no one expected that Russians could perform our music better than our musicians.

В знак признания одной из величайших групп на Земле!
