In an early morning tweet storm President-elect Donald Trump announced that the GOP is no longer the party of the free market, but rather the party of economic intervention. Trump advisers said he would be deeply involved in day-to-day corporate decisions like perhaps no other Republican before.
Trump's base loves the notion of a 35% consumer tax. Of course they probably are blissfully unaware that there is something called the House Ways and Means Committee
and the Senate Finance Committee.
The President-elect tweets the absurd.
But that's his right.
