At the local grocery the other day there was this.
Whoa!
Bottled adult beverage in the cleaning supply isle?
Upon closer examination it happens to be hand sanitizer. Seems the COVID-19 pandemic
has brought out the best in home-grown American business ingenuity. Truth be told – I never would have known
about full Throttle Distillery until I stumbled-across this.
A wee bit of web surfing has revealed that in
the quaint town of Trimble, Tennessee you will find the Full Throttle
Distillery – a craft distiller of small batches of authentic Tennessee whiskey.
Using locally-sourced corn the grain is
ground at the distillery in preparation for fermenting the mash. After the passage of several days the mash is
distilled to produce a product weighing-in at 60-70 proof. A follow-up distillation produces 125-135 proof authentic Tennessee whiskey.
Nice.
Once this pandemic nonsense allows us all to return to normal lives –
including travel – I’m going to add this place to my road trip itinerary.
