When my pop was alive he made a practice dining on this curious sandwich. And I learned at a very young age the secret to this treat. For him it was nothing more than buttered bread, sliced root vegetable with a sprinkle of salt and paper. After he was widowed and came to stay with us from time to time he always had a steady supply product with which to indulge in this delicacy. Alas, he been gone a number of years yet his spirit and inspiration live-on.
Behold the radish sandwich......
Yes, and this is a deluxe version of an ordinarily plebeian meal. This is a toasted English muffin, a smear of real mayonnaise, Romaine lettuce, sliced garden radish with a sprinkle of salt and pepper.
Absolutely delicious.
Even better with a frosty Hamm's out of a can.
That's living at its best!
