Pagan beliefs that go back many millennia may have
required some sort of offering to celebrate certain astronomical events.
I can only speculate as I am not THAT old.
Today we sacrificed an Equatorial Martini (rocks) to ring-in the Autumn Equinox.
Only stuffed olives were harmed.....
