Before you jump all over me about the warming climate around here I want to remind my readers that Wisconsin's climate has been warming for millenia. Ten thousand years ago the peninsula was buried beneath an ice sheet a mile thick. That would be a crap pile of ice. And even the last glaciation wasn't sufficiently strong enough to scour the dolostone of the Niagra Escarpment from the face of the planet.
That is why the peninsula is where it is. Peninsula strong! But I digress.
I reset the indoor/outdoor thermometer today.
Yesterday was a spectacularly warm 66.2 degrees.
But sometime in the past two weeks the overnight low was 16.3 degrees.
Warming trend for sure...
