Does and Fawns

Now that the trails have been brushed the critters have opted for the path of least resistance.

Yes, wildlife do prefer the path of least resistance and given the option of traveling from here to there through heavy brush or a clear path - the path wins.  It doesn't imply that wildlife do not prefer cover - because they do.  Particularly for bedding.  It's just that cleared paths for travel are easier.  Sort of like feeding in my garden after dark.

In any event, I've gotten some nice photos of moms and their little ones.  The following pictures include small fawns still sporting their spotted camouflage.  They're probably later arrivals because their moms were bred in the late rut.

There are also those disgustingly gross biting flies in the on the adult deer in the photo.
