Lest you are puzzling over this photo and wondering if this whitetail is levitating - look carefully. You will see that the right-front foreleg is firmly touching the ground. The remaining three legs are airborne.
Hard to say how this photo was composed. Maybe the animal was scampering past in a hurry...
