Talking Turkey

From the trail camera on the central trail, north plantation - turkeys are showing-up rather regularly.

These are called Jakes - adolescent male turkeys.  The same size as an adult gobbler they are distinguished from full-mature males by their short beards  and my the length of their middle tail feathers.  Adult males have tail feathers of uniform length.  Jakes have tail feathers that are longer in the middle.
