As we approached the camera that is situated at the curve north of the trail only a few hundred yards from the house both dogs stopped in their tracks and gave a particular spot on the trail a long and thorough sniff. Having accomplish that each paused in turn to pee on the spot before we continued on our way.
I had my suspicions about this scent marking behavior and after I uploaded the photos from the memory cards onto the laptop sure enough.
