World War II Memorial

Pure coincidence that yesterday I posted my observations about the terrific job the folks at War is Boring did in their post about Operation Cobra.

It was also pure coincidence that I found myself today at the World War II Memorial on the Washington Mall.

While we planned, did and saw many things today who'd a thought Normandy would pop-up again so soon in the blogosphere.  Things sometimes have a way of doing that.
