Tomato Avalanche

I pulled the tomato plants over the weekend.

I picked one hundred and twenty ripe fruits and a big pile of green ones that will ripen over the next couple of weeks in the garage.  There were plenty for bacon lettuce and tomato sandwiches and a Greek breakfast (scrambled eggs, leftover lamb, feta cheese and tomatoes) a box to take to the day job tomorrow and this...

Fourteen more quarts added to the eleven pictured in this morning's post equals twenty-five quarts of canned tomatoes from this season.  That is going to translate into plenty of sauce, juice and additional goodies when it get reprocessed this winter.
